⁷ They gave five thousand talents and ten thousand darics^[a] of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and one hundred thousand talents of iron. ⁸ Any of those who had found precious stones gave them to the treasury of the temple of the Lord through Jehiel the Gershonite. ⁹ The people rejoiced because they had willingly responded and had given with their whole hearts to the Lord, and King David also rejoiced greatly.
